The Rolling Stones have been called the world's greatest rock-and-roll band -- and they are also currently the world's greatest earning band. Their A Bigger Bang tour, which began in August 2005, has brought in $437 million, according to Billboard. The Voodoo Lounge tour the Stones mounted in 1994 and 1995 had been the top-grossing trek with $320 million, but U2's Vertigo dates, which began in March 2005, are expected to bring in about $377 million, giving them the title for a short time this year. And with unconfirmed talk of more Stones dates next summer, the tally for all the A Bigger Bang shows could top $500 million.
The Stones wrapped up their A Bigger Bang tour -- for this year, anyway -- on Saturday (November 25th) in Vancouver, British Columbia.
