The last two months have been a flurry of memories and flashbacks, but reading a full interview with Dereak really sends it home. It was a wild time and although I've fought it for years, I'm glad I was there for part of the ride.
I had forgotten about the chiggers ~ that got a big laugh out of me. I told you guys I'd do anything for the shot! I'd like to thank Dereak for keeping that one story to himself and also to thank him again for one of the funniest yet, most needed birthday presents ever!
And thank you too, Full in Bloom for supporting old friends and for helping out Rob's family.
This was a great interview. It has been a long while since I had heard anything about Dereak and July Alley. JA was always one of my favorite bands to see at the basement. I sorry to hear about Rob and wish his family the best. I worked with Lord Tracy and remember those good old days, I am sure Dereak and I could sit and just laugh and probably cry remembering all the times we had, I had and he had. We have lost many musicians that touched our lives(Dave Williams, Dimebag, Rob), they will all be remembered in many ways to all of us. Dereak good luck and hope to see you on the second.
Thanks for the interview! I used to hang out at THE BASEMENT. I was underage and usually pretty wasted...I am sure there were bands playing...but don't really remember.
