Yusuf, formerly known as Cat Stevens, will embark on a short-run tour commemorating the 50th anniversary of his first major single "I Love My Dog". The shows will feature "a night of songs, storytelling and goodwill," and for the lucky ones, the tour will center on major markets like Toronto, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston, Philadelphia, D.C., Chicago and Nashville.
According to Live Nation, his 2-day run at New York's Beacon Theatre will mark the first time the former folk-god has played a public concert, in the city, since 1976.
Tickets go on sale, at Live Nation, on August 15th, with a portion of each ticket benefiting Yusuf's charity, Small Kindness.
