Sepultura and Soulfly founder Max Cavalera revealed this week he and brother Igor are planning a tour later this year on which they will perform the Sepultura classic Roots in its entirety, in honor of the set's 20th anniversary. The thrash legend made the revelation in a Wednesday, February 3rd interview with PlanetMosh, which can be viewed in the YouTube clip below. Released in February, 1996, Roots is considered a classic by the band's hardcore following, and is held an influence by many of the bands that pioneered the Nu Metal movement, including Korn's Jonathan Davis, who performs on the track, "Lookaway" alongside Faith No More frontman Mike Patton. Roots has sold more than 2 million copies worldwide, and has been certified gold by the RIAA for sales of 500,000 in the US alone.
