Shock metal legend King Diamond revealed Wednesday that his band's show in Tulsa, Oklahoma tonight has been canceled as the iconic frontman battles a "severe case of acute laryngitis". According to a statement, King underwent a procedure Tuesday (Dec. 1) to have his throat looked at, but the operation was interrupted when he suffered an "extreme sensitivity reaction" to the anesthetic. Fans holding tickets to the Tulsa show can get a full refund where they were purchased. It is unclear whether an attempt to reschedule for Tulsa will happen. King Diamond is currently in the midst of a US tour on which they're performing the classic album, Abigail, in its entirety. The tour kicked off October 29th in Denver and is slated to wrap up Saturday at the House of Blues in Dallas. No word yet on whether King will be able to make it for a Friday show in Houston or the Dallas finale.
