The debut song was released Tuesday from Abbath, the new black metal band formed by former Immortal frontman Olve Eikemo (now going by the name Abbath).  Titled "Winter Bane," the single can be streamed on SoundCloud by Clicking Here, or previewed in the YouTube clip below.  (SoundCloud version is better).  The track is our first taste of Abbath's self-titled debut album, slated for a January 22nd release on the Season of the Mist label.  Check out the cover art for the album below.  To pre-order the album, Click Here.

In addition to Abbath, his eponymous band also features bassist Tom Casto Visnes, a.k.a. King ov Hell.  In addition to his own band, Ov Hell, which featured Dimmu Borgir vocalist Shagrath; Ov Hell was also the main composer for several albums from Gorgoroth.
