Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell announced Tuesday he will release his fourth solo album at summer's end and embark on a solo tour to support it. Titled Higher Truth, the new set will be Cornell's first solo work since 2009, when he shocked the rock world by releasing the pop-influenced effort Scream. The album is scheduled to hit stores on September 18th, with the tour kicking off a couple of days later. The extensive tour will begin with a show at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, and span 29 dates, concluding with a November 2nd gig at the Moody Theater in Austin, Texas. The final show will also be filmed for the Austin City Limits Live television show. For a fill list of dates and venues, Click Here.
