I wanted to see this film in the theatre...as I thought the trailer looked pretty cool, but I somehow missed it...yeah, it happens...well, I have to say that I am glad I finally saw it! It is really good. The story is great...based on the book by the same name, which I have not read...and I can't say that I know of anyone who has read it... but apparently, it was a best seller.  The actors are ok...really only recognized  two of them...and  I cannot remember their names. If you want to see great acting...go see Spielberg's LINCOLN...this is really about the story and the special effects,not the acting, however, the actors are able to do what is required of their roles. I did really like the fella who played Lincoln, though.  I just loved the look of this film and the imagination that it took to create it. It is well worth the watch on a cold, dark night! The film is directed by Timur Bekmambetov, who directed those really cool...Russian vampire movies...NIGHTWATCH and DAYWATCH! Which if you have not seen, please, do!
