The achievement extends Madonna's record number of No. 1s on the chart, which now stands at 43. The closest competitor on the chart is Janet Jackson, who logged a total of 19 No 1s on the chart, while Beyonce and Rihanna have each had 18. If Madonna is able to land another track on top of the chart, she will tie George Strait for most No. 1s on any Billboard chart.
