Country superstar Randy Travis continues to battle legal troubles as he was cited over the weekend for assaulting a man believed to be the estranged husband of Travis's girlfriend. Police responded to a call about a domestic dispute at a church in Dallas late Thursday, where Travis was issued the citation. TMZ had initially reported that Travis was drunk, but authorities declined to confirm that assertion. None of the parties involved required medical treatment, and Travis was the only party charged with a crime. He was not taken into custody. Just two weeks ago, Travis was arrested near his home in Tioga after crashing his vehicle. When police arrived at the scene, Travis was reportedly naked and covered in cuts and bruises (see mugshot below). The singer was charged with DWI and obstruction of justice over a threat he made to arresting police officers. The latest charge is just a misdemeanor, but the felony obstruction charge carries a maximum penalty of ten years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000.
