Connecticut hardcore metallers Hatebreed struck back at CNN Tuesday after the news agency incorrectly associated the band with a group of pro-white supremacy bands in a story about last week's shooting in a Sikh temple in Wisconsin. The shooting involved a white supremacist with a link to several so-call white power bands, and CNN included a list of this type of band on a story on its website. Unfortunately, the story listed Hatebreed as one of these acts, even though they identify themselves as a metalcore act whose music "brings people of all races together all over the world," according to a Tweet from the band. For its part, CNN modified the story within 30 minutes of Hatebreed's response, offering an apology for the mix up.
