Original Iron Maiden frontman Paul Di'Anno surprised his longtime loyal fans on Tuesday with a Facebook post proclaiming that 2013 would be the end of his more-than thirty year career in metal.  'I am gonna be Pulling The Plug next year 2013, and making it my Farewell Tour, it was good whilst it lasted', Di'Anno wrote, prompting scores of fans to reply with pleas for him to reconsider.  Industry observers had reported that Di'Anno had been in the studio working on a new solo album, but he did not mention it in his comments.  The singer does have almost 90 shows booked at the moment, and appeared to be committed to fulfilling those obligations.
