According to an announcement this week from Walt Disney Pictures, the label has tapped alt-rocker Jack White to compose the score for its upcoming film, "The Lone Ranger."  The studio said that the former Raconteurs and White Stripes frontman will write produce and perform the score for the Gore Verbinski-directed film, which will star Johnny Depp and hit theaters in May 2013.
