Weird Al Yankovic has reportedly filed a lawsuit against Sony Music Entertainment for $5 million in unpaid royalties and licensing fees related to his music. Yankovic claims that the label has been paying him royalty rates for digital downloads of his music rather than the 50 percent of revenue that licensing deals usually call for, and that the label took excessive recoupments for his albums. In addition, the parody king claims that Sony has failed to share any of the money it recovered from filesharing websites such as Napster, Grokster and Kazaa with him.
