Jimmy Ellis, the frontman for the popular disco band The Trammps, passed away late last week at the age of 74 in a nursing home inRock Hill, South Carolina.  A cause of death has not been announced.  The Trammps released their biggest hit, "Disco Inferno," in 1976, and the song continues to be a staple of the genre and is played to this day in sports arenas.  a memorial service for Ellis has been scheduled for Friday in Charlotte, North Carolina.
