Actress singer Kaye Stevens passed away last week at a Florida hospital following a tough battle with breast cancer. She was 79. A longttime resident of south Florida, Stevens got her break in show business when she was asked to fill in for Debbie Reynolds at the Riviera Hotel in Las Vegas when Reynolds became ill. She performed with several members of the Rat Pack through the late 60s and early 70s, was a frequent guest on Johnny Carson's "The Tonight Show," and entertained the troops during the Vietnam was as part of Bob Hopes USO tour. Stevens was also an accomplished actress, appearing in six films and becoming a regular cast member on "The Days of Our Lives" from 1974 to 1979.
