Imprisoned music producer Phil Spector has reportedly requested that the US Supreme Court review his murder conviction on the grounds that his constitutional rights were violated by the judge in the trial. Attorney Dennis Riordan, who represented Spector in the high-profile case, contends that Superior Court Judge Larry Paul effectively served as a witness for the prosecution by offering his viewpoint on an expert's testimony. Spector was sentenced to 19 years in prison for the second-degree murder of actress Lana Clarkson.
