A biopic film about deceased R&B singer Amy Winehouse looks like a more likely possibility after her family indicated it would entertain offers to tell her story. "Mitch (Amy's father) and the family would entertain ideas perhaps for a film but only one they were sure would tell the truth," a spokesman for the family told Entertainment Weekly Tuesday.
Earlier in the week, a Winehouse biopic seemed less likely after Mitch Winehouse told another newspaper that he would not allow his daughter's music to be used in a rumored film being shopped by an ex-boyfriend of the late singer, Reg Traviss. In the meantime, Winehouse's father is working on a memoir of his daughter which will be published by HarperCollins. Proceeds from the book will benefit the Amy Winehouse Foundation.
