Rapper Lil Boosie was sentenced to eight years in a Louisiana prison on Tuesday after pleading guilty to three counts of conspriring to smuggle contraband into two state prisons. The Baton Rouge native, real name Torrance Hatch, is currently serving a sentence for a 2009 drug conviction, while also awaiting trial for a charge of first degree murder in the 2009 death of a 35 year-old man named Terry Boyd. Hatch allegedly hired Michael Louding, who carried out Boyd's murder. That trial is scheduled to begin April 30th.
