Jamie Lynn Spears, the younger sister of pop icon Britney, made her country music debut this week at The Rutledge in Nashville, Tennessee, performing a collection of original songs. Several members of the Spears family were in attendance at the show, although big sister Britney was unable to attend due to her international touring schedule.
While Monday night's performance was Spears' first country performance, she has released three singles during her career, including a 2002 remake of Cyndi Lauper's hit song, "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun," on which she collaborated with teen pop trio Triple Image. She also recorded the theme song for her popular Nickelodeon show "Zoey 101," which was co-written by Britney.
