Iconic rapper Heavy D, real name Dwight Arrington Myers, passed away Wednesday at the age of 44 after being discovered uconscious on a walkway outside his home. According to reports, the rapper had just returned from shopping when he began having trouble as he climbed a set of stairs. A neighbor found Myers leaning on a railing and stayed with him while others called 911.
Myers was taken by ambulance to Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles, arriving about noon. Doctors pronouned the popular 90s crossover star dead about an hour later. Police are investigating Myers' death, but foul play is not suspected in the case.
