Hip-hop star Rick Ross reportedly suffered seizures over the weekend on two separate flights, forcing the rapper to cancel two performances, including one in Greensboro, North Carolina Saturday night less than an hour before it was scheduled to start.
The first seizure occurred Friday afternoon aboard a Delta Airlines flight headed from Fort Lauderdale, Florida to Memphis, Tennessee, where he was scheduled to perform at the University of Memphis' basketball season kickoff event. That plane returned to the Ft. Lauderdale airport on a medical emergency when Ross went into convulsions.
Upon landing, Ross was rushed to a local hospital, where he underwent treatment, after which he boarded a private jet to make it to the "Memphis Madness" event, but that plane made an emergency landing as well after Ross suffered another seizure. Details on Ross and his condition are sketchy, but one of his reps said that the 34 year-old is "fine."
The concert in Greesnboro proceeded without Ross, with DJ khaled and Marsha Ambrosia covering, and there has been no official word on the status of the rapper's upcoming tour schedule which includes a Friday, October 21st gig in Atlanta and a joint concert with Busta Rhymes two days later in Los Angeles.
