With the US economy lingering on the edge of a double-dip recession, Kid Rock is going on the road to help out those in need. Proceeds from his upcoming fall tour, for which dates were revealed Monday, will go to local charities in each of the markets the tour is stopping. The singer got financial backing for the tour from Detroit-based Compuware Corporation and the Detroit Pistons, and his Kid Rock Foundation has partnered with local radio stations in the various markets he will play, who will decide where the proceeds are allocated.
The tour, which kicks off November 10th in Atlanta, Georgia and wraps December 9th in Indio, California, will see Rock performing in smaller, theater-size venues, rather than large stadiums like his recently completed "Born Free" tour. Ty Stone will provide support for all staops. Click Here for a list of dates.
