The surviving members of The Doors have reportedly recorded their first song together since the 70s. The song, a collaboration with DJ / producer Skrillex, is a part of the upcoming documentary film, "Re:Generation," a biopic of a project in which five DJ / producer types collaborated with artists from five separate genres to write and record a new song.
In addition to Skrillex's effort with Ray Manzarek, Robby Krieger and John Densmore, the project also inlcudes DJ Premier on a classical track with Nas and the Berklee School of Music Orchestra; Pretty Lights, who did a country song with Leann Rimes and Ralph Stanley; the Crystal Method, who worked out an R&B tune with Martha Reeves; and Mark Ronson, who teamed with Erykah Badu, members of the Dap Kings and Trombone Shorty for a jazz cut in New Orleans.
"Re:Generation is due out in theaters early next year. Check out a trailer for the film below.
