Scottish folk legend Bert Jansch passed away Wednesday after a prolonged battle with cancer. He was 67. Jansch first rose to music notoriety in 1965 with his self-titled debut album. The guitarist was widely admired by his peers, and listed as a major influence by myriad guitarists including Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page and Neil Young, who has compared Jansch's stature as an acoustic guitarist to what Jimmy Hendrix did for the electric guitar.
