R&B star Cee Lo Green announced through a representative over the weekend that he was backing out of his upcoming tour with Rihanna, citing commitments to "The Voice," even though he has just one episode left in the season; and also claimed Green needs time to work on an upcoming album and book.

"He always puts 100 percent into his work and with the requirements and time commitment to 'The Voice,' on top of heading back into the recording studio and an upcoming book," Green's spokesperson said. "He feels that he wouldn't give his fans the show that they deserve."

The tour started June 4th and was scheduled for nine more dates through late July.  No word yet on a replacement for Green.
