Man Confesses to Robbing and Shooting Tupac in 1994

According to AllHipHop, the man who robbed the late rapper Tupca Shakur in 1994 sent them a letter confessing to the crime, which set off the fued between Tupac and Notorious B.I.G.  The man, who identified himself only as Isaac, said that he was paid $2,500 to rob Shakur at Quad Studios in Manhattan, plus all the jewelry he got in the heist.

"James Rosemond hired me to rob 2Pac Shakur at the Quad Studio," reads the watermarked letter. "He gave me $2,500, plus all the jewelry I took, except for one ring, which he wanted for himself. It was the biggest of the two diamond rings that we took. He said he wanted to put the stone in a new setting for his girlfriend at the time, Cynthia Ried. I still have as proof the chain that we took that night in the robbery."

Tupac, who was shot five times in the robbery and then shot to death in Las Vegas less than two years later, would have turned 40 Thursday.  The Quad Studio robbery began a fued between Tupac and Biggie that many believe led to both of their deaths.  The letter sent to AllHipHop also insinuates that the man has information related to the eventual murders of both Biggie and Tupac.  "Now I'm not going to talk about my friend Biggie's death or 2Pac's death, but I would like to give their mothers some closure," it reads. "It's about time that some one did, and I will do so at a different time."

Isaac is currently serving a life sentence in prison for unrelated crimes.  Rosemond was supposed to turn himself into authorities on May 23rd for his involvment with the distribution of cocaine.  Issac says that his confession the the Quad Studio robbery is in response to comments made by Rosemond, calling him a goverment informant.
