Rapper Snoop Dogg is reportedly talking to several major networks about developing an "American Idol"-type competition show featuring hip-hop music.  "I'm looking for a deal from a network to find America's hottest 'hood artists'," the rapper told the New York Post in a recent interview.

While Snoop believes the show could achieve the same popularity as "Idol," network executives have reportedly not received the idea enthusiastically.  According to reports, the show has already been turned down by NBC, Bravo, and Oxygen, but MTV and E! have shown some interest.
