R&B superstars the Black Eyed Peas are reportedly opening up a school in lower Manhattan to teach video and music production using professional quality gear. The band announced the plan Tuesday, saying that their Peapod foundation will join forces with the Adobe Foundation to open the Peapod Adobe Youth Voices academy.
The Peapod Foundation is the Peas' charity, administered by the Entertainment Industry Foundation. The Adobe Foundation is software maker Adobe's charitable branch. Together, the two foundations already operate three Youth Voice Academies, in Redwood City, Oakland and Los Angeles, California. The New York branch will reportedly open in July, offering classes for students from age 13 to 19.
