The music themed biopic film, "Justin Bieber: Never Say Never" has reportedly surpassed the 2009 Michael Jackson film, "This Is It" as the highest grossing concert-themed film at the US box office of all time. Through Sunday, the film had earned $72.2 million in US theaters through six weeks, passing the $72.1 million "This Is It" earned domestically. "This Is It still holds the worldwide box office earnings record, with a total of $261.2 million, a record that will likely never be challenged, as concert films rarely sell well overseas. Bieber's film has grossed $10.8 million at the international box office, a far cry from the $189.1 million, unprecedented number put up overseas by "This Is It."
