Jazz Bassist and singer Esperanza Spalding was named the Best New Artist at Sunday night's Grammy Awards, shockingly beating out superstar newcomers Justin Bieber and Drake. "I take this honor to heart so sincerely, and I will do my damndest to make a whole lot of great music for all of you," Spalding said in her acceptance speech.
