Slayer and Iron Maiden were included in the list of nominees for the Best Metal performance category at the 2011 Grammy Awards, scheduled for February 13th at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Also nominated in the Metal category were Megadeth, Korn, and Lamb of God. The Best Hard Rock Performance Grammy, meanwhile, will go to Ozzy Osbourne, Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, Stone Temple Pilots, or Them Crooked Vultures. The ceremony will be broadcast live on CBS.
