QB controversy brewing in Philly

The Philadelphia Eagles officially have themselves an old-fashioned quarterback controversy. Head coach Andy Reid has said that Kevin Kolb, who missed Sunday's game and the second half of last week's game due to a concussion, will be his starter next week. This despite former top overall draft pick Michael Vick's outstanding performance in both games. Vick finished Sunday's game against the Lions with 284 yards passing with 2 touchdowns and no interceptions. Vick also ran for 37 yards in the 35-32 victory. Kolb looked mediocre in the first half of the game against the Packers before Vick came in and almost led the team to a comeback victory. Reid has such confidence in Kolb that the team traded away longtime Eagles QB Donovan McNaab in the off-season and has not faltered from his assertion that Kolb is his guy. One can only wonder, however, how long his leash is now that Vick has proved he can move the team down the field. Only time will tell.
