A jury in a Georgia courtroom ordered Kid Rock and several of his associates to pay $40,000 to a man who was allegedly beaten by the rock star and his entourage at a Waffle House in October, 2007. Fiscal responsibilty for the damages was divided among Kid Rock and other members of his entourage, with Kid reponsible for 15 percent and his guitarist Jason Krause, who allegedly threw the first punch, paying 70 percent. The defendants had tried to settle the case out of court, but the plaintiff asked for $2.9 million. Kid Rock pleaded guilty to misdemeanor simple assault in March 2008 in a cast stemming from the Waffle House brawl.
