Teen Disney star Selena Gomez has cancelled two scheduled appearances for the state fairs of Ohio and Delaware, citing strained vocal chords.

"I am extremely disappointed to cancel these shows," Gomez said in a statement. "My fans mean the world to me and I was so excited to perform for them."  

Gomez starts in the film "Ramona and Beezus", which is now playing in theaters. Her band, The Scene is currently readying their second album, "A Year Without Rain", for a Septmeber 28th release. The album's first single, "Round & Round", is currently at No. 39 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
