The legendary 70s rock band Heart will release their first new album in six years August 31st when "Red Velvet Car" arrives in stores. Producer Ben Mink, who has worked with the likes of K.D. Lang and Barenaked Ladies, was not only at the helm for the album, he also co-wrote some of the ten songs. Ann and Nancy Wilson, who front the band, have wanted to do a Heart record since Ann worked with him on her 2007 solo album, "Hope & Glory". The sisters began promoting the album yesterday with the first of four appearances at the Lilith Fair festival, after which they will embark on a lengthy North American headlining tour.
