Pete Quaife, who played bass for the British Invasion band the Kinks from its formation in 1961 through 1969, passed away this weekend at the age of 66. The cause of death is not yet known, but Quaife has been undergoing kidney dialysis for more than a decade. Quaife played on all the Kinks' early classics, including perhaps their biggest hit, "You Really Got Me".
