U2 vocalist Bono, after suffering a serious back injury last week, which required the Irish singer to undergo emergency surgery, has been ordered by doctors to take the next eight weeks minimum off from touring. This means that the band's June 25th headling slot at the Glastonbury festival has been canceled. Also, a string of 16 North American dates June 3rd to July 19th has been scrapped and will be rescheduled for next year. Glastonbury promoters have yet to comment on possible replacement acts for the 177,000 capacity event.
