Former Beatle and music legend Paul McCartney is being awarded the third Gershwin Prize for Popular Song from the Library of Congress. The award will be presented at a concert June 2nd in the East Room of the White House. Among those scheduled to perform are Faith Hill, Stevie Wonder, Dave Grohl (Nirvana, Foo Fighters), Jack White (White Stripes), Emmylou Harris, Elvis Costello, and comedian Jerry Seinfeld. The concert will be broadcast nationwide on PBS July 28th. The two previos winners of the Gershwin Prize are Wonder and Paul Simon.
