Members of various bands around the world have publicly offered their condolences on the passing of legendary vocalist Ronnie James Dio. Dio worked in the music industry for more than fifty years, playing in the bands Elf, Black Sabbath, Rainbow, Dio, and Heaven n' Hell. Dio also organized the 80s charitable music project Hear n' Aid, and wrote the song "We're Stars" for the project. The song features vocal contributions from Dio, Judas Priest's Rob Halford, Queensryche's Geoff Tate, and many more top metal vocalists from the eighties; plus a four minute super solo from many of the era's top rock guitarists.
