Rap producer Marion "Suge" Knight has filed a lawsuit against Kanye West alleging that West, along with the owners of Miami nightclub, failed to provide appropriate security at a 2005 party hosted by West. Knight was shot in the leg during that party and is seeking damages in excess of $1 million. Knight, formerly the head of Death Row Records, filed bankruptcy in 2006 and will have to surrender a sizable chunk of any money awarded him in the case to bankruptcy trustees and the IRS.
