Lawyers for producer and convicted murderer Phil Spector have filed an appeal on the grounds of judicial error and prosecutorial misconduct. The 148 page appeal cites several factors which they claim denied their client his right to a fair trial. The appeal asks that the conviction be thrown out and Spector be given a new trial. The 70 year old was sentenced to 19 years to life for the murder of actress Lana Clarkson, who was shot in Spector's mansion seven years ago. Spector's attorneys argued that Clarkson was battling depression and committed suicide.
