Not since 1940 something has there been 10 films nominated by The Academy for Best Picture. "AVATAR" and "THE HURT LOCKER" lead the pack with nine nominations each.  The other Best Pic nominees are:

The Academy Awards will be held on March 7th at the Kodak Theatre.  Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin will be the hosts.
