As reports of Aerosmith searching for a replacement singer continue to surface, an attorney working for the band's longtime frontman Steven Tyler sent a letter to the band's manager requesting that the band cease their search. The attorney announced in a statement that Tyler does not want to be forced to sue his own band, but seemed to suggest that he would take that action if necessary. Tyler is currently undergoing treatment for an addiction to painkillers which he developed while recovering from his fall from the stage in South Dakota last year.
