Metallica benefit show raises $200,000


Metallica's performance in San Rafael, California on September 11th reportedly raised $200,000 for the "Marin Rocks" museum project. The show was held at the 2000 seat capacity Marin Veterans Memorial Auditorium and tickets cost up to $350. The band has called the Marin County for a number of years and both singer James Hetfield and drummer Lars Ulrich have children attending school in the area.
