The National Association of Realtors says that sales of homes and condos dropped almost three percent in the second quarter, compared to 2008. However, sales did rise almost four percent compared to the previous quarter.
NAR Chief Economist Lawrence Yun attributes the $8,000 tax credit, lower home prices and low interest rates as leading contributors to the turnaround.
