Steven Tyler, frontman for legendary rock band Aerosmith, was airlifted to a hospital early yesterday after falling from the stage during a performance at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in Rapid City, South Dakota.

The 61 year old Tyler was dancing to entertain the crowd after the sound system broke down during "Love in an Elevator" when he toppled from the stage, according to Mike Sanborn, spokesman for the Buffalo Chip Campground, which hosted the outdoor concert. Several clips of the fall can be seen below.

"He does a lot of dancing on the stage and he does a lot of stuff with his mike stand. He put his stand down and twirled around and stepped backwards off the stage," Sanborn said.

Tyler reportedly suffered a broken shoulder, sprained neck, and had to have several stitches in the head.
