Legendary Who singer Roger Daltrey has announced plans to launch a solo tour starting in October. Dubbed the "Use It Or Lose It" tour, it will be Daltrey's first solo trek since 1985. In a statement Daltrey descibes the tour as an exercise to keep my voice in trim, so I'll be ready" when the Who performs again. "Those songs demand a lot of my voice!"
He went on to say that he has tried to take care of his voice throughout his career. "I've looked after my voice; because I sing so loud, I have to," he explains. "I try and do as many little charity things as I can. I sing around the house. I exercise before I'm going to sing. I do bring it into gear so it's not ripped.
"I think my voice at the moment is better than its ever been. There's a depth and a quality to it that's...When it's on form, it's deafening, my voice."
The tour will kick off Oct. 10th in Vancouver and wind up Nov. 30 in Clearwater, FL. Click Here for a complete list of dates and venues.
