Weezer, after months of silence, posted some exciting news on their official website this weekend. "The bands 7th album, title TBA, is pretty close to a wrap now (after a mild false alarm back in the spring), though there is some work yet remaining to be done. There have also been some other special Weezer studio recordings done recently," says the site. It's also rumored that the band will debut one of the songs from the album, "She Got Hot", at a show in Japan next week.

In other news, Sugar Ray released his new album, "Music for Cougars" today. The album features a cover of "Love Is the Answer", a song written and recorded by Weezer during the "Make Believe" era but never formally released.
