Pearl Jam plans on kicking off a brief tour prior to the release of their new album, "Backspacer", which hits stores Sept. 20th. A single, "The Fixer" will hit the radio on July 20th. Target will be the exclusive mass retailer of the album, though independent record stores and the band's official website will also sell the album. 15 dates have been announced so far, and more are expected. The band appeared on the first episode of "The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien" and performed the song "Get Some"  from the album and allowed Conan to display the cover art on the show (see photo below.)
